I would like to welcome everyone to my new website where I plan on updating on my life at work, home, and my hobbies!

I’m happy to start off my first post after attending the major Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s bi-annual Starfest. I wasn’t able to attend all of the activities this year due to business but hopefully next time it comes around, not only will I be able to attend Starfest 2010, but I will be able to bring my Mercedes as well.

For those who don’t know me personally, my Mercedes (1985 300TD) pretty much died back in April of this year. I was on my way home from a club event (First Sunday Drives) in the Santa Cruz mountains and my poor wagon very quickly decided to have a total melt down and die. However, it sacrificed itself to get Cristina and me home (50 miles away) before going under the knife.

Anyway, back to Starfest. It was absolutely awesome and I cannot wait for the next one. The Concourse d’elegance took place on Treasure Island in San Francisco from the morning to about mid-day. There was about 50 or so cars that entered, ranging from the 300(x)’s of the 1950’s all the way up to modern CLK’s and E-Classes. After the concourse, there was an awards banquet for the participants but I was unable to attend in account of going up to Placerville.

Monday was the best day for me. I got up a 4:00am to drive up to Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California to help with technical inspections for the driving events. Monday was the major inspection day as well as the Autocross, Defensive Driving, Acceleration Runs events planned for the club members. I was there until about 3pm when the exhaustion sank in and I decided it was time to come home. I have also taken over 100 pictures of the events that can be viewed over in my flickr. Well, this being my first post, I will have many more to keep the world informed. I will be keeping everyone up to date on my cars over in the projects section and my day to day life here in my blog section.
